LET THE PROJECT BEGIN.

After many hours of planning and many, many meetings the building project is poised to start.  The building committee selected Somerville from Green Bay for the building designer and Boldt Construction Co., Stevens Point, as the builder. The building project is still on schedule to be ready for the fall 2004 school opening. We thank and praise the Lord for His continued guidance as the dream of a Lutheran high school in our area moves closer to the reality of the Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School opening this fall.

INSTALLATION
Aug 3, 2003.  The installation of James Rawlings as administrator and groundbreaking for The Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School took place on August 3rd with delegates, board members, pastors, guests and friends attending.
Mr. Bob Whipkey of the North Wisconsin District-LCMS was the guest speaker and Reverend D W Pegorsch led the installation service while lightning flashed in the background. A golden shovel, handled by Reverend Pegorsch (Pastoral Advisor to the Board of Directors), Doug Seltz (Chairman of the Board of Directors) Sue Fenhaus ( Building Committee Chairperson), Mr. Whipkey (NWD- LCMS) turned the ground for the new building. Delegates and board members wore WVLHS shirts and gold caps.
Dan Page, music director from St. Mark Lutheran Church, was the director of music at the service.
An outdoor reception, with music provided by Danny Gruetzmacher, was held at the administrator's house after the service.  A supper meal was provided by Doug and Evelyn Seltz for blessings received. Chicken, brats, corn on the cob and much more were on the menu. Great food!! Although some rain fell on the event, everyone had a great time and enjoyed the music, food and fellowship.

Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School now has a full faculty in place for the upcoming school year:  Administrator/Principal Mr. Jim Rawlings, Called teacher Mr. Gary Albert from Marshfield, part-time teachers Miss Alissa Anklam from Wausau and Mrs. Cathy Danner from Merrill.  Please keep these dedicated Christian teachers in your prayers as they prepare to begin the work and ministry of WVLHS.  If you would like more information about our exciting new school you are encouraged to contact Jim Rawlings at 715-693-2693.

CAPITAL FUND RAISING BEGINS

To make the Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School a reality it will take the financial support of many people.  The Board of Directors, after much research and many interviews, has hired Capital Fund Developers, Colleyville, TX, to spearhead a capital fund raising drive throughout the Wisconsin Valley area. The 12 member churches of the High School Association will be the foundation of the drive and other LCMS area churches will be asked to participate in the fund raising. We pray that Gods people will respond to the support of this Ministry of Christian Education with their prayers, time, talents, and money in helping spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
