STAFF UPDATE
At the July board meeting, Mr. Gary Albert was Called to be the first full-time teacher
at WVLHS. Great news!!! He has accepted. He is from Marshfield and brings a tremendous amount of ministry experience to our
school, having served as both a pastor and a teacher. Praise the Lord for this
outstanding addition to our staff!
Two other candidates have been extended contracts to serve part-time in our school;
they are Mrs. Cathy Danner of Merrill and Miss Alissa Anklam of Wausau.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The gym walls are up, the steel has been lowered into place for the roof, and the floor
should be poured soon. In the classroom wing the inside walls are up and sheet-rocked,
wiring is being completed, and heating/air conditioning ducts are being put into place.
It is just awesome! You're invited to take
a drive and see the new facility.
LEND A HAND
As the
construction progresses, volunteers will be needed to help finish off the project. Painting,
helping install the gym floor, and helping install lockers are some of the jobs that will need to be done. Volunteers will be needed soon.
Please call Sue Fenhaus now at 486-8192 to
place your name on our volunteer list.
DEDICATION
Please put September 12th,
3:00 PM on your calendar. On this
Sunday WVLHS' new facility will be dedicated and our new staff will be installed. Keep
watching for more information about this important occasion.
NUMBERS
RISE
We see God's many blessings as two numbers continue to rise. Our enrollment is now at 9 students, 4 freshmen and 5 sophomores.
Calls keep coming in and applications continue to be sent out. Also our
Capital Campaign Advanced Gift Phase is gathering momentum as we approach the $200,000 mark in pledges.
WVLHS will provide a Christ-centered educational environment promoting
academic excellence, instilling Christian values, partnering with families, congregations, and communities to prepare young
people for productive lives and service.
